Bath day three

Bath day three

Sweating and coughing seems to be how we are healing and waking up refreshed:)
The Full English breakfast is in order. Poached egg, baked beans, grilled tomato half and mushrooms. Today we order delicious!white toast ( sourdough ?) the blackberry apple jam is awesome and we buy some to bring home with us.
What next? Shopping! We trace the route we will take in the morning to be sure we are clear as it may be dark. Then a stroll past L'Occitane for a 'TREAT'!!!
Exfoliant cleanser and face moisture applied my a sweet English man with huge brown eyes and a sweet kind touch.
We decide on Sally Lunn for our tea experience choosing first a salmon bun and then lemon curd and then a strawberry with clotted cream and yes tea!

We walk to the Avon, over Pultenay Street  bridge and downstairs to where a boat is tied up above the falls. Its an hours trip to Bath Hampton. I admire this seagull having his morning spritz!
We wandered up and around until we were back in Abbey Square enjoying music. And this small girl dancing, er 'performing' the ballet dance of a lifetime.
Bath Abbey Evensong is open to the public so we file into this handsome Anglican church to listen to the choir once again, a sermon and sing a hearty hymn.

Home to wash up and shampoo in the beautiful ensuite bath. I have only washed my bangs the last two mornings. Untangling my long hair with a brush is "OW!"

It's done, we talk over which of two dinner plans to pursue, and I sip a decaf Nescafe! It's not bad.
Will it be The Crystal Ballroom across the square, or back to see our Italian friends. For me its comfort, familiarity and a 'sure thing'.

Tonight we begin with a gin and tonic for Dan, Chianti for me. Dan loves his handsome Gordons highball glass. (Seven inches tall, narrow with vertical cut glass furrows.)

Dinner will be the vegetarian lasagne and the insalata parma. Just hearty enough to warm a tummy, and then the limoncello arrives;)

We walk home in the evening's deep periwinkle.
Sheepherding competition seems to be our only telly option. Will it be Wales? Ireland? Scotland or England! We loose our signal...
At nine we turn off our lights, plug in the phones, alarms set.

We go over tomorrow's schedule one more time and sleep well!
